Crossroads Lectures Presents: Lewis & Clark and the International Competition for Oregon with Mark Eifler Wednesday, August 20 at 3:30 p.m.The Pacific Northwest coast was a hotbed of international competition between 1775 and 1815, when four nations — Spain, Russia, Great Britain, and the United States — sought control of the region. University of Portland Professor Mark Eifler will discuss the remarkable global consequences of the famous Lewis and Clark expedition.
